First off my car failed the smog check and we were referred to go to a certified shops to have it fix. We did lots of inquiries on other shops regarding estimate and appointments. Surprisingly, Pro 1 didn't give us an "overpriced" estimate and charges. I also didn't have to make an appointment. I walked in on early Monday mentioned to them whats going on with my car within an hour or 2, It's done and fixed! I'm glad I came to this place. I would definitely come back here for all of the maintenance needed for my car. Also, employees are very courteuous and responsive to every questions. i would definitely recommend this place.

Took my diesel truck in for a smog. The folks here were friendly, service was fast and their waiting room was clean and well-appointed. There are cheaper competitors but the overall experience is completely worth a couple bucks once a year.

Friendly staff, but do not communicate. Took over an hour just to get my truck in for a smog, no one in line. About 30 minutes later, another customer pulled in, they brought his truck in for a smog about 10 mins later, I'm still waiting. Ask front counter how much longer and get the response I'm next in line, without apologizing that they forgot I've been waiting for over 45 minutes at this point.

We regret that you felt you were forgotten. Please let me explain the process for smog checks. Vehicle keys are taken from customers and placed on a board in order, both gas and diesel are noted on this board. The techs take them in order off of the board to smog them. A Diesel smog does take longer than a gas smog and a DMV registration will add a few minutes also. It would have been better if the person who took your keys told you how many were ahead of you. Again we apologize.

26 Jun 2017 I arrived @0800 for my appointment to have my 92 Ford E250 Automatic Transmission Power Flushed. The odometer had 168,570 miles. Fred, the service advisor, took me out into the shop to physically show me the equipment that would be used to Power Flush my tranny & explained the procedure in terms I could understand. My van was ready for my by 0930, the odometer showing 9 more miles than when I took it in which told me someone had my van up on the rack going up & down through the gears for quite a while to insure a thorough flush. 6 July I returned to Reno after having driven a 1780 mile 5-day trip up into Idaho, over into Montana & back to Reno. The tranny shifted up or down through the gears as smooth as ever during the entire trip which took me up & down a lot of grades. From now on I'll take my vehicles to Pro 1 for any & all maintenance. I like that this is a locally owned, family operated business.

Highly recommend pro 1, the staff is very friendly and they are very quick and reliable. We service all of our company vehicles with them (Arbor Pros) and they are very honest and straight forward. They provide snacks, coffee and a comfortable lounge if your waiting. Use these guys! The owner Rick cares about his customers and runs a reliable operation.

I took my truck in for a long list of repairs. Not an easy task for any shop. I'm pleased to say it was by far the best experience I've had over other automotive repair shop's I've been to in the Reno Sparks area. Friendly staff and expert technicians along with an owner that cares for you like family. Thank you Ricky Stebbins for taking care of my truck and making me a customer for life.

Took my diesel there for smog. Once they got to my truck they got it done fast which I like and I also really like the price of smog. Will go there again for smog. They also do registration there as well. I was going to do that but due to being out of state for work and my registration was over do I ended up going to 'DMV' to get the late fee dropped. But 'pro 1' priced the registration out at $349.50 which I thought was strange because I only paid $170 at 'DMV' the year before and the late fee was only $60. And this price was before they would add on the smog and their fee of doing the registration, so I would of been looking at about $400 all said and done at 'pro 1'. But I ended up going to the 'DMV' to get the late fee dropped and to register my truck. after all said and done at the 'DMV' I paid $158 to register my truck. So after seeing the price difference, I did the math to find the difference from the price at 'pro 1' to the 'DMV', I would of ended up paying an extra $131.5 at 'pro 1' if I were to registered it there. 349.5-60=289.5-158=131.5 So after all that I will never register my truck through 'pro 1'. I will go back to 'pro 1' for smog. Other then the registration problem, everything else with the customer service was great and good environment was great.

Anthony I think maybe you misunderstood the cost of registration. Registration is all done though a computer that is linked to the DMV which will calculate the late fee and require that payment. We have no way of knowing the fee amount unless we run the registration though the DMV computer. Sorry that this happened and maybe wasn't explained to you clearly. Give us another try.
