My car needed major repairs, clutch, cv boot. I had grown accustomed to the shake at 40. Took it in and it drives better than I ever remember, like new.

Reno is very lucky to have these guys. Their service is as good as any I've encountered in the automotive business - full marks for diligence, honesty, persistence, fair pricing and good humor! They handled my aging Volvo Turbo Wagon with care and attention and although the diagnosis took a few false turns, they stuck with it. The best!

My SUV broke down at the intersection right by this place. I literally pushed it into their establishment. They must have known this because they quoted me $325 for a DIAGNOSIS! I obviously said no and asked if I could leave my broke down vehicle parked there in the meantime. THE GUY SAID NO! One of the mechanics even stood there and did nothing but watch me as I pushed my SUV to the next parking lot. Some businesses would relish the opportunity to help a customer in despair. This is basically steroids for word-of-mouth advertising. Pro 1 Automotive does not feel this way. Anytime any conversation comes up regarding automotive repair businesses I will tell this story. DO NOT GO TO PRO 1 AUTOMOTIVE!!!!!

My coworker highly recommended Pro 1 so I thought I would try it out. I took my '99 Corvette into Champion Chevrolet for some transmission work and when I got it back the acutuater for the heater no longer worked. They gave me a quote for $3,000 for replacing who knows what for something that worked fine before I brought it in. I took it to Pro 1 and the problem was fixed for under $100. I've never been impressed with an auto shop before, but Pro 1 managed to do that. I recenlty made an appointment for repairs and unlike other auto shops that keep your car hostage for days or weeks, they looked at my vehicle the same day. Parts were overnighted so I didn't have to wait a week, and they called me as soon as the repairs were done so I had more time to bribe a coworker to give me a ride to the shop. Larry even did a follow up call to see if everything was done to my liking. I definitely will continue to patronize Pro 1...the only auto repair shop in Reno that won't make you leave feeling cheated and/or angry!

What can I say about this place...besides the great customer service friendly employees and timing. I needed a little work done on vehicle and hearing word of mouth I decided to give them a try. I arrived there before work dropped my car off and was taken care of so quickly they even gave me a ride to work when i worked just down the street. By the time I was off work my car was ready and the price was just right. I'm picky about my auto shops and this one tops my list a the best in reno.

Went in to get a simple radiator repair. They came back with an enormous repair cost and told me a lot of other stuff was wrong. When I pressed for specifics they fumbled and then gave me reasons that made no sense. Went to A1 radiator repair which cost us half the estimate here. Do not trust these people.

The heat in my wife's Honda went out. Pro One diagnosed the problem and fixed it all in the same day! They charged a fair price and were very transparent about the process. I will be going back to Pro One in the future for my automotive needs.

Terrible. Awful. Horrible. Thieves. I took my car in for what should have been a simple alternator replacement. I was charged $230 before they even tested the alternator. I was quoted $58 for a diagnostic, which should have been a dead give away I was dealing with thieves, but then when I was given the bill they had charged me $93 for the diagnostic. After they quoted me $750 for unrequested repairs I finally told them to step away from my vehicle. I went to them only because my regular mechanic was booked and would highly recommend staying as far away from them as possible.

People just love to complain about service businesses. Reading the reviews below, i am shocked to see 1 star reviews for this business. Let me correct that here. I have lived in reno for 41 years (all my life). My dad used to be in the auto parts business back in the day so i never had to worry about finding someone to work on my cars. When he got out of that business and we needed repairs he had me start taking my cars to Pro-1. They have been in business since i have been able to drive and they are still in business today over 20 years later. They dont rip people off, they charge for their work and stand behind it. They also go above and beyond to make sure the cars are safe and well maintained. Pro-1 have performed exploratory service, handled some major issues and also general maintenance for me many times over the years. I have taken them everything from very valuable classic cars (like my '62 cadillac coupe deville), to our modern daily drivers like our Escalade and other cars. They have ALWAYS fixed the cars correctly, taken care of the cars while they are there, explained what they were going to do, and returned the cars clean and void of any sign of service, and have charged me fairly for services performed. I am not a person to bitch about a couple bucks here or there so maybe my perspective is different when it comes to cost, but i feel like they have ALWAYS charged me fairly. The key takeaway here is that this is a non-franchise, locally run, shop owned by a man who has been in this community for over 20 years. His counter guys have too. I trust them with any of my vehicles (old or new), and I recommend them to anyone.

Took my car in because it has some dashboard lights on. Once they found what was wrong I was informed that the repairs would cost 3000 dollars. I then took the car to my regular mechanic who not only told me the repairs they mentioned are not necessary but that they didn't notice I needed a new water pump. Including the water pump the repair price at my regular mechanic was 1000 dollars. They over charge you for repairs. Do not bring your car here unless it's for an oil change.
